Nechmad was founded in 1972 by Moshe Nechmad in the first branch of 19 King George Street in Jerusalem. From its first day, the store offered a variety of unique and prestigious items, especially in the field of kitchenware. The name of the store went far, and it was visited by representatives from the President's and the Prime Minister's Residences, the Knesset, and more. In 1989, with the development of the city and its trade, the second branch of Nechmad was opened in the Israel Mall, Talpiot. In 1993, the third branch of the Jerusalem Mall opened, and since then the chain has expanded, and today the number of branches is six.
